Dear All,

some times ago we discovered a memory corruption issue during our
experiments with the UMIP PMIPv6 implementation. As the problem is still
pending, we are sending the details to the list hoping some help in the
resolution from the UMIP community :).

The system is an Ubuntu 10.04.server.4 with kernel 3.8.2 on i686. The
problem appears right away when the MN attaches to the MAG:

Hello Bokor,

What implementation are you using? The one from OAI or the one available on umip.org?
Could you run mip6d with Valgrind? This might provide more information on the memory corruption.

Best,
Romain

Hello Romain,

within these tests we are using the PMIPv6 implementation available on
umip.org. The OAI works fine, but we would like to get the "pure umip"
version working too.
Valgrind has not yet been applied, we will do some tests with it to gather
more information. Any hints till that?

Best regards,
Laszlo

Hi Laszlo,
within these tests we are using the PMIPv6 implementation available on umip.org. The OAI works fine, but we would like to get the "pure umip" version working too.
I?m not sure what you mean by ?pure UMIP version?. The PMIPv6 code that is available on umip.org is a contribution that we have been hosting there for conveniency. I believe the OAI implementation is better in terms of features, but I just haven?t got the time yet to review the code and put it on the UMIP website.
Valgrind has not yet been applied, we will do some tests with it to gather more information. Any hints till that?
I don?t have any hints which is why I asked for the valgrind output :-)

Best,
Romain

Hello Bokor,
What implementation are you using? The one from OAI or the one available on umip.org?
Could you run mip6d with Valgrind? This might provide more information on the memory corruption.
Best,
Romain

Dear All,
some times ago we discovered a memory corruption issue during our experiments with the UMIP PMIPv6 implementation. As the problem is still pending, we are sending the details to the list hoping some help in the resolution from the UMIP community :).
